A loan of $1,000 helped to buy fertilizer for his coffee crop.

Domingo's story

Domingo, 54, is married and has six children. He lives with his family in a village in Níspero, Santa Bárbara. He’s always worked growing basic grains like corn and beans but five years ago started growing coffee that he sells in his own community. He’s kept this activity up with the help of several loans. The current one will be his third and it’s for 20,000 Lempiras he’ll use to buy fertilizer for coffee crop maintenance. His plan is to continue expanding the farm to provide better living conditions for his family and so his children may become professionals.
