A loan of $600 helped to purchase a photocopier.

Clarivel's story

Clarivel is 30 years old and in lives in a city located in the county of Bolívar with her spouse and their 2 children ages 1 and 8. She started in business 3 years ago selling cold beverages, yams, cheese and other basic foods as well as cellphone minutes. Taking advantage of her husbands store, she was able to offer her a new service. She purchase a photocopier so her clients would have the ability to use her photocopying service and she could earn more money.

Her goal is to expand her business, for which she needs an additional photocopier, with which she plans to increase her sales since the one she has now is too small and doesn't have much output capacity. This is the reason why she is seeking a Kiva loan, which will be her first loan with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. She will use the loan to purchase a photocopier that can serve its intended purpose.

She currently manages a 2:1 liquidity, a financial indicator by which she projects her growth. With the loan she will be able to grow more, open a stationary shop and guarantee quality education for her children.
