A loan of $425 helped to buy sheep.

Orozkul's story

Orozkul is 49, married, and raising 3 children together with her husband. She has the equivalent of a high school education, and works as an assistant at a local preschool; she also raises livestock on the side, having started 19 years ago with 1,000 somoni worth of animals. Thanks to her persistent efforts, her farm currently has 4 dairy cows and 10 sheep, while her monthly income is nearly 5,000 somoni. To further develop her farm, Orozkul is seeking a loan from Bai Tushum and Partners; she hopes to borrow 20,000 somoni to buy more sheep for her farm, and plans to use her increased income due to the loan to buy even more livestock, as well as to save money for her son's wedding reception.
