A loan of $2,050 helped buy calves.

Anarkan's story

Anarkan is 57, married, and raising 4 children together with her husband. She has the equivalent of a high school education, and raises livestock for a living, having started 13 years ago with 60,000 somoni worth of livestock. Thanks to her persistent efforts, her farm currently has 2 dairy cows, 2 calves, and 15 sheep. Her monthly income is about 8,000 somoni. To further develop her farm, Anarkan is seeking a loan from Bai Tushum and Partners; she hopes to borrow 100,000 somoni to buy calves for her farm, and plans on using any future profits from the loan to continue to buy more livestock for her farm.
