Estrellas Ii Group's story

The “ESTRELLAS II” communal bank will start its first cycle in Pro Mujer as a part of the Villa Tejada center. It is made up of eight members and led by a board of directors of which Ceida is the secretary. The businesses that the members of the communal bank have are varied. Among them are selling hygiene products, selling clothes, selling cosmetics, selling food, and selling food.

The loan they will take out will benefit the micro-businesswomen, including Ceida. She says that eight years ago she joined Pro Mujer at the invitation of a friend who is a member. Right now she has a business selling cleaning products. She says that she started this business together with her spouse, since he sold these products before she met him.

The loan she will take out now is to increase capital by buying soap, brushes and towels. She will acquire them from the wholesale distributors of the city of El Alto and later sell them in her sales stall. This work allows her to generate resources to support her home as much as she can. She is married and has two children.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the meetings, the trainings about loans and the clinics.
