Amy's Group's story

This group was created in May 2010 and its members are from the same village. They engage in small-scale commerce and farming. The one whose hand is raised on the right of the photo is the leader of the group. She is 28 years old, married, and mother to a daughter. Her main activity is selling millet, groundnuts, and oil.

With this loan, she plans to buy two 50-kilogram sacs of ground nuts at 12,500 francs each, for a total of 25,000 francs, and then 66 kilograms of millet at 150 francs per kilogram and a 20-liter drum [of oil] at 15,000 francs.

Her goal is to ensure the everyday expenses and increase her savings.
