Ikhbol's story

Ikhbol is an exemplary Tajik woman and farmer. The name "Ikhbol" means "first lucky star". She is 59 years old, married, and has nine children. Ikhbol helped four sons to start families, and three daughters to find husbands. Her husband and son work in the Russian Federation. Ikhbol's 25 year old daughter lives with her and works as a nurse in a hospital.

Ikhbol herself has been working as a team leader on a farm for over 10 years, and is very hardworking. Ikhbol has a barnyard where she keeps two cows and looks after them herself. In the winter, Ikhbol sews traditional quilts and pillows. At the moment, Ikhbol is preparing for autumn planting. She needs to buy potato seeds, mineral fertilizers, and fuel. With these items, she will be able to treat the soil and plant her fall harvest of potatoes and wheat. Ikhbol is hardworking woman who achieves her goals. Taking all of this into account, we can say she deserves the best.
