Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Hovik's story

Hovik lives in the Shirak region with his wife and school-age daughter. His wife is an experienced teacher at a local school, and for more than 15 years he has run a printing business and a small bookstore. He prints leaflets, booklets, journals, scientific articles etc. and sells different books, including school textbooks and dictionaries. His small business currently needs some investments to function effectively, and he is requesting a loan for $3,000 to update and expand the assortment of goods he sells in his bookstore as well as buy paper for printing. Hovik and his family are very thankful to all their lenders for their good will and support.
