A loan of $1,075 helped to buy supplies wholesale (fabric, thread, elastic, and patterns) and to perform maintenance on her machines.

Daissy's story

Daissy, age 31, is the single mother of her nine year old daughter. During her productive life she has worked in the field of sewing. She started as a worker in different shops seasonally. With some savings she decided to become independent and set up her own shop.

She was later a victim of a flood that occurred in the area. Her house was flooded and she lost various materials, most importantly her machinery. Also, her daughter has various injuries and traumas. Therefore, her family entered into a financial crisis.

Daissy, with her drive, perseverance, and the objective of once again getting ahead, knew how to overcome all of these obstacles. With the little that she was able to recover, she continued with her work. She is working every day, and she gets help from her mother, who collaborates on the finishing of the products.

She wishes to have the loan she is requesting to buy supplies wholesale (fabric, thread, elastic, and patterns) and to perform maintenance on her machines. With this she will have the capacity to increase her production and her sales. This will generate better income with which she hopes to be able to get ahead. Daissy dreams of having her own brand and providing her daughter with a better quality of life and education. In order to do so she knows that she needs to keep struggling with care and dedication.
