Al-Etihad Group's story

Al-Etihad group is composed of four women from Sana`a, Yemen. They asked for a loan of 160,000 YER (Yemen rials) to purchase food and drinks for resale. Saida, a 32-year-old single woman, is the leader of the group. She earns a low income that isn't enough to cover expenses. In order to increase her working capital, she has requested a loan of 50,000 YER to buy sugar, flour, canned food, etc., for her business. She hopes to be able to earn a considerable profit to pay for her living expenses, and those of her parents.
