A loan of $1,075 helped to buy stock merchandise and to do physical upgrades to locale.

Ana María's story

Ana is single mother of two children who are 5 and 10 years old. She currently works in her business, a store she started two years ago. The idea arose from the need to generate income to support her family because the entire economic responsibility falls on her as a mother head of household.

She’s a humble, kind, charismatic woman who has a gift for getting along with people which allows her to relate to them easily and provide better customer service. She’s asking for the loan to invest in some physical upgrades to her locale and to buy stock merchandise (beer, soft-drinks, snacks, sweets, etc.) to give her establishment a better image thus changing passersby’s perception so that they will become potential customers. Also, she’ll be able to offer a wider variety of goods earning higher sales profits and income as a result.

Ana wants to continue working with dedication and effort to be able to continue progressing and giving her children the opportunity of getting better education, well-being and quality of life.
