Jose Alfredo's story

José is 67 years old and has two children, aged 42 and 37 years, respectively. José was only able to complete first grade at primary school as he did not have the money to study. José is divorced and one of his sons, along with his wife and three children, live with José.

José has been a farmer since he was ten years old He learned the trade from his brother. José works as a pump operator on a community water project, where he works 8-days-on/8-days-off. On his days off, he makes a living in agriculture.

This loan will be used to buy twelve sheets of aluminium to repair the roof on his kitchen, and part of the walls, and to buy fertiliser for his corn crops.

José's goal is to complete repair his house so as to be able to live more comfortably and not be prone to illnesses during the rainy season.
