Rose is married with two school-going children who are the reason of her hard work. She lives in a rental house that has electricity and piped water.
Rose is operating a cafe business preparing food, such as rice, tea, beans, chapati (flat bread), for sale to passersby and neighbors. She cited seasonality as her major challenge.
With the KES 25,000, she wants to purchase stocks of goods, maize flour, wheat flour, rice and drinks for the business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
