Osman's story

Meet Osman. He is a 35-year-old from Waterloo, eastern area in Freetown. He is married with three children aged 6 years through 14 years. For the past 10 years, Osman has established his local food business. He began his business because his parents did not send him to school, so he was trained in business. He works at the business from 8:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., seven days per week. He says that the main challenges to his business are storage facilities and the high cost of transportation.

Osman requires a loan in order to purchase more beans, gari (fermented cassava flakes) and bags of ground nuts for resale. He hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow him to empower himself and increase his business. In the future, Osman plans to build a big house. He thanks you for your support.
