Sillah's story

This is 35-year-old Sillah from Tombo, a western rural area in Sierra Leone. He is married with three children between the ages of 4 and 12.

Sillah runs a general stock business; he sells assorted drinks. He began this business because he wants to create a permanent source of income to take care of his family; he has been running this business since 2002. He works at the business every day, 12 hours per day. He says that the main challenge to his business is the high rate of theft within the community.

Sillah has requested a loan in order to purchase items such as drinks, cigarettes, pure water, and mayonnaise.

The extra income from this loan will allow him to pay his children's school fees, and buy a plot of land.

In the future, he plans to change his business to selling fuel. He appreciates your support.
