A loan of $2,475 helped to buy cows.

Sabira's story

Sabira is 51 and married; she and her husband are raising three children. Sabira has a high school education and raises livestock as the primary source of income for her family, something she started eight years ago with the purchase of cattle for 5,000 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, she now has four milk cows and 14 sheep on her farm, with a monthly income of 7,000 KGS. With the intent of further developing her farm, Sabira has turned to microfinance bank "Bai-Tushum and Partners" for a loan of 120,000 KGS to buy cows and increase the size of her herd. Income from the loan will be invested into further augmentation of her number of cattle.
