Mchanga's Jitahidini Group's story

Mchanga is 30 years and married with 3 children aged 2, 4 and 3. She also takes care of 2 other children aged 6 and 8 years old. She became a food seller in 2004. Every day, she works from 8am to 6pm at her business and can earn a monthly profit of about $250 from her sales.

In the past, Mchanga has taken out 1 successful loan from BRAC Tanzania to expand her business. Mchanga now hopes for a loan to buy more fish for resale and to start a new business. She will share this loan with her subgroup members, who also have businesses dealing with bicycle spare sales, snacks sales, juice sales, charcoal and firewood sales.
