David grew up in a predominantly cattle-keeping family and developed the skill from there.

With some income given to him by his father, he started buying young bulls at a small price, especially during the dry season when weather was harsh and people were selling cheaply due to the lack of pasture. He later made enough money after he bred them and sold them at high prices and bought more expanding his business.

The Ugafode loans have also contributed a lot to his expansion. He thanks the Kiva lenders for being interested in partnering with him. He is hard-working and honest.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of UGAFODE's program for clients who live in isolated rural areas with limited access to financial services. Uniquely, UGAFODE focuses its efforts on agricultural areas in Uganda that are over 50 km from their branches, providing loans to both groups and individual borrowers. The organization believes that the risk of offering services to remote clients is outweighed by the benefits to customers and their often underserved communities.
