A loan of $850 helped a member to buy fertilizer and to pay for plowing fee.

Ramy's Group's story

Ramy is 35 years old and is a married mother of three children. Her family relies on rice farming a one-hectare area and the occupation of her husband, who works for others for a fee. This farm is a business that she has had for 10 years.

Ramy is a seven-time borrower with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner). She has fully repaid back her past loans wisely and on time. Those loans have helped her support her business and improve her livelihood better than before.

Now, Ramy is leading a group of three to get a new loan. She will spend her loan portion to buy fertilizer and to pay for the plowing fee for her rice farm. She hopes that she can gain a good yield from her rice field and get a good income to expand her business better than before.
