Kimsan's story

Kimsan is a 51-year-old local farmer from Kandal Stoeung district in Kandal province. She is a mother of three children. Currently, only one child still relies on her as this child is still in school.

To make a living, Kimsan sells vegetables and fish at the local market in Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. To earn more income, she also trades rice.

Since her son is pursuing a bachelor degree at a local university, the expenses in her family are quite a challenge for her recently. Therefore, Kimsan applied for an education to cover the tuition fee for her son, who wants to have a bachelor degree in Architecture. She hopes that she can fulfill her son's dream.
