Sien is 49 years old and a mother of four children residing in Kampong Cham province. She manages a four-hectare rice farm as the main source of income with support from her husband. Sien has never been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) before. Now, she is seeking 3,000,000 KHR in order to buy fertilizer and rice seed for her farmland. She hopes that she can gain a good income from her crop and improve her lifestyle so it is better than before.

Kiva lenders’ funds will help the organization to expand into the northeastern provinces of the country, which have historically been underserved and difficult to reach with financial services.
