A loan of $475 helped a member to buy more copies of the Holy Quran for resale.

Kiran's Group's story

Kiran is a 36-year-old married woman living in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband owns a depot in which he sells the Holy Quran. Her husband’s depot is located near a mosque in which the children learn and recite the Quran. He offers the Holy Quran from various companies, translated from Arabic to Urdu. He wants to grow his business and buy more Holy Qurans to offer but does not have sufficient capital to purchase them. Therefore, Kiran requested a loan from Kiva’s field partner BRAC Pakistan for her husband to buy more copies of the Holy Quran and easily increase his income. She is very glad to be taking this loan and praises the lenders who are taking an active part in supporting her.
