Riccardo's story

Do you know what an Arepa is? When Riccardo moved to his neighborhood in Queens, NY, he was dismayed to find that no one in the area was familiar with this Venezuelan specialty. After 10 years of working as a truffle salesman, he decided to bring his dish to light in the community by opening up his own restaurant. Arepas Café started out as just a tiny restaurant, but was instantly popular in the community. One year after opening, Riccardo saw an opportunity to expand the size of the restaurant and increase his staff to 14. Riccardo employs many members of the community, including his teenage daughter.

Arepas Café has become quite popular in Queens. It has received 4 stars on Yelp and brings in locals from all different walks of life. After accomplishing one dream, Riccardo has set his sights even higher. He has purchased a second location and needs a loan in order to stock up the restaurant and spread the word about his new location.

Help Riccardo open up a new restaurant and bring the unique flavor of his dish to a new community.
