Umar's story

Umar is a business owner who lives in the Gissar region of Tajikistan; he deals in candies and dried fruits. He is 49, married, and is the father of three children who are still in grade school. His wife manages the home, making Umar the only breadwinner in the family. For the past three years, he has provided for his family by selling his goods at the local market, where he has a stall with a variety of candies and fruits. In the future, Umar would like to set up his own store and expand his business. At the moment, he is seeking a loan to stock up on more kinds of candy and dried fruit in hopes of increasing his sales.
