Prisca's story

Prisca is a married woman, aged twenty-three years. She has three children and she lives in Kyotera town with her family. Her children are six, four and two years old. She also takes care of other two kids who lost their parents.

Prisca is a business lady who operates a drug shop. She works seven days a week and each day she works for fourteen hours. She supplements her family income with some money she gets from renting her two motorcycles every day. She has been in this business since 2007.

Prisca started this business with the aim of earning a living and also delivering services to the community after failing to get a job related to what she studied. She has applied for this loan in order to re-stock her business (buy more drugs) since this being the rainy season, an increased number of people are falling sick. She extends her services to fellow residents in Kyotera.

Her greatest dream is to expand this business so that it can be a wholesale centre. But she still faces the challenge of limited capital to invest in the drug shop. She is grateful to Kiva through Ugafode that she has been able to save lives because of the loans advanced to her. She describes herself as honest and hardworking.
