A loan of $1,050 helped to buy cows.

Rozakan's story

Rozakan is 47 years old and married. She and her husband are raising two children. She has a secondary education and is involved in animal husbandry, an activity which constitutes the main source of income for her family. She started in this business 25 years ago with the purchase of livestock for 5,000 som (KGS). Thanks to Rozakan's hard work, her farming business now comprises two dairy cows, two calves and 15 head of sheep. She makes a monthly income of 15,000 som (KGS).

In order to further develop her animal husbandry business, Rozakan has turned to the microfinance bank "Bai Tushum & Partners" and requested a loan of 50,000 som (KGS). She will use this loan to buy some cows in order to increase her cattle headcount.

Rozakan plans to invest the earnings from this loan into further increasing her livestock headcount. She is also planning to save some money to prepare a dowry for her daughter.
