Victoria Alejandra's story

Victoria is a 34 year old woman of many strengths and many dreams, one of which is that she graduated with a degree in information technology, and that she is a single mother of two children. She is farming, her specialty being the planting and harvesting of coffee. Her two children -- one 8 years old and in the fourth grade, the other 12 years old and in the sixth grade -- study at school and live at home. It is just the three of them in the house.

Victoria has been doing agriculture for more than 5 years. She learned to work in this area thanks to her ex-husband who has been a farmer all of his life. Besides harvesting and planting coffee, Victoria's business is selling candy and pieces of land that she has acquired.

Victoria's challenges are the lowering of prices and heavy rainfall (a climate factor). Competition in this area is not a problem, as it is located 3 kilometers from her home, where the bus travels and only involves her.

Her future plan as a mother is to keep investing in her coffee crops so that they become more productive each year, and in this way give her children a better quality of life. Her dream is to buy more land and keep farming since her goal is to invest the earnings in the same area. Currently Victoria is requesting financing for the purchase of fertilizers that are necessary for maintaining her coffee crops.
