Santos Asemción's story

Santos, 39, is married. His wife works in domestic tasks and also sells typical snacks. They have four children who are in school. Their first child is 17 and in the second year of high school; at the same time, he works as a farmer in his free time. The second child is 14 and in ninth grade, and also works. The third is 12 and is in seventh grade, and the youngest is 10 and in third grade. There are six people who life in Santo's home and depend on him. Santos went to school through ninth grade.

Santos has been selling his security services for two years. To get to work, he has to walk one and a half kilometers to take the bus. He learned about this work from the help of a friend who recommended it and he was able to start working in the business. Also, because he had already completed his military service and this also helped him learn he skills of this job. His schedule is from 7am to 4pm. Before he worked in this job, Santos had various jobs including a day laborer and farmer in the surrounding area.
