A loan of $575 helped to buy supplies, merchandise, blenders, and fruit.

Helena Emperatriz's story

Helena, 28, is the owner of a restaurant where she also sells fried foods. Her business started through family tradition, since she learned it from her mother. Taking advantage of the fact that she lives near the Troncal del Occidente highway, where travelers and visitors to a well-known park come by, she started her own business and it went well. Today they are her main customers. Helena works painstakingly, because her most important goal is to finish her schooling and improve her quality of life, expanding her business. Currently she has a liquidity that is not below 18% and she needs working capital to invest in a greater volume. This is the reason why she asked for a Kiva loan. This is her first financing from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she will buy supplies, merchandise, blenders and fruit, to add juices made from the fresh natural fruits in the tropical zone of Colombia.
