A loan of $2,650 helped to buy a dairy cow and to pay off an outstanding debt.

José Delio's story

José is 61 years old and he has been working in agriculture and livestock for 30 years now. He spent the greater part of his productive life working for a flower-growing business and it has been about one year since he started receiving his pension. He used that money to rent a plot of land to raise juvenile cattle and dairy cattle. He also has a vegetable garden where he grows tomatoes, cilantro, onions, cabbages, peas, and beans, which he sells to his neighbors in the area. In this way, he makes enough income to cover basic expenses for his family, which is made up of his wife and four children. He is a dedicated, hardworking, and strong man. He is asking for this loan to help him continue with his work, as he will buy a dairy cow and pay off the balance of an outstanding debt. This will increase his milk production and allow him to meet the high demand for this product, which will in turn increase his family's income. José wants to keep working for his family until the very end because they are what motivates him to get up and keep striving day after day. He wants to be able to enjoy the fruits of his hard labor with the people he loves.
