Thuy's story

Ms. N. Thi Thuy is 41 years old. She had a harder life than most women, and her family's happiness was short-lived. She and her husband had encountered too many contradictions trying to build their lives together, so they parted ways. She decided not to remarry and stayed single taking care of her child. She joined the fund in 1997 and borrowed money to invest in raising pigs. After raising pigs she was able to make enough money and bought a water buffalo to use in her farming business. Now she wants to invest in raising sows. Her child is now grown and working, making average 93 USD per month. For this loan, she wishes to borrow 625 USD to invest in her sow raising business. Average monthly income 312 USD.
