A loan of $500 helped to purchase a stock of groceries.

Miranda's story

Miranda is a 45-year-old married woman. She lives with her husband, son and pensioner father-in-law. The only source of income for her family is the grocery store which Miranda runs.

Miranda needs money to purchase stock. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative of Kiva and Credo, enables her to get a loan of $500 to purchase a stock of groceries. This will increase the turnover of her grocery store and thus increase the income of Miranda's family.
