Nino's story

Nino is a 47-year-old married woman. She lives with her husband and two sons in Mtskheta district. Her husband is a physical worker and gets orders for different types of jobs to earn money. Nino is a nurse at local hospital and earns 200 GEL (Georgia lari) per month. In addition, she bakes cakes, and from this work, she gets 250 GEL per month.

Nino is a very hardworking woman and she decided to run her own business. The family has a commercial space, where she is going to open a grocery store. The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative with Kiva and Credo, enables her to get a loan of 2,300 GEL for purchasing stock of groceries. As the grocery store is opened, the income of the family will rise and become stable.
