A loan of $425 helped to buy a new auto rickshaw for her husband.


Samina's story

Samina’s husband has been driving an auto rickshaw and pays daily fair because this rickshaw does not belonging to him. He belongs to the ultra poor family, and has been feeding his 6 children. Now, his children are growing old and their needs are growing as well. He was worried for many days about how to abstain from the daily fair, so he decided to buy his own rickshaw. Samina has been making savings for many days to buy a new auto rickshaw for her husband, but at the time of purchasing, some money remained short. Therefore, Samina requested a loan for her husband so he can buy the new rickshaw with the contribution of savings. Samina is a 33-year-old woman, living with her 6 children and spouse in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She hopes that now her husband will be able to have more income because now he will not pay a daily fair to anyone. Samina was very happy after taking this loan, and says thanks to Kiva and it's field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
