Amilcar Mardoqueo's story

Amilcar is 52 years old. He was only able to study until the end of 1st grade because he had to work to help his family. He is married and has 7 children. Four of them are young and in school while the others work with Amilcar in farming. His wife, in addition to running the house, sells pupusas every day. He has been a farmer since he was young and learned from his father. Currently, he has 14,000 square meters of corn planted. He wakes up every day at 5:00 am to milk the cows, get the milk ready to sell, and go work on his crops that are located one kilometer from where he lives. At the end of the day, he helps his wife sell pupusas.

Amilcar needs to buy fertilizer for his corn crop. In addition, he needs to prepare 7,000 square meters for the planting of another crop. Amilcar's goal is to restore his cattle herd and support his children through college.
