Enver's story

Enver is a 59-year-old married man. He lives with his wife, 4 children, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren in Khelvachauri district. The only source of income for the family is from agricultural activities. In particular, Enver has a cow. His wife milks the cow every day and produces dairy products to sell. In addition, he has a plot of agricultural land where different types of vegetables are grown.

Enver is a very hard-working man and always has high quality products, which is sold to local retailers. As his existing income is not enough for such a big family, Enver decided to start a new business.

The Start Up program, which is a joint initiative between Kiva and Credo, enables Enver to get a loan of $5000 for starting his business. With the loan, he will rent a commercial space and purchase stocks of groceries to open a grocery store. He will have a chance to be involved in his own business and increase the income for his family.
