A loan of $850 helped to purchase fish, soda, and other groceries.

Martha Feliza's story

The 30 de Agosto communal bank meets every 15 days in the Picoaza parish in the city of Portoviejo. This area is known for its commerce, its traditional San Pedro and San Pablo festivals, and the joy of its people.

This is where Señora Martha lives. She is 36 years old, married, with 2 children aged 7 and 3. The oldest attends school. Her husband works with her. Doña Martha is a very good wife who, together with her husband, prepares and sells shrimp and fish ceviche. Every day they open their shop, which is located in their house. Despite that their business is quite new, they have a very good clientele thanks to the time they spend preparing this delicious dish, which is the delight of their clients who leave very satisfied.

She will use this loan to purchase fish, soda, and other groceries necessary to prepare the ceviche. She has been a member of the communal bank for a year and she likes it because with the first loan, she started her business. Her dream is to get ahead with God's blessing.
