A loan of $1,300 helped to buy sewing machines.

José Ignacio's story

José, 19, is married and has no children. He only studied up to sixth grade. His parents were having bad financial problems, so he wasn't able to continue attending school.

José has six years of experience as a tailor, which he learned when he left school. Thanks to his apprenticeship to a local tailor, he's able to help his parents economically. He walks about a kilometer to work every day and works from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

José will use the loan to buy sewing machines to set up his own business. He needs to continue working, but on his own.
