A loan of $300 helped to buy a stud bull.

Isrrael Benjamin's story

Isrrael, 51, is married with five children whose ages range between 10 and 25 years. He was only able to complete 9th grade and currently works the land with his wife and older children. To do so, they all rise at 5 in the morning to best take advantage of the day’s cool hours.

He’s been working in agriculture for nearly 40 years, an occupation he learned from his father. He has cattle his wife cares for that produce milk that’s sold to contribute to family income.

The loan will be used to buy a bull whose job will be to impregnate the heifers he has thus renewing his cattle herd. Isrrael’s goal is to buy a good-sized plot of land to house the cattle because for the moment he must lease it thus incurring an expense.
