A loan of $2,650 helped a member to purchase clothing and sacks of charcoal to sell.

Fiffawa Group's story

The group FIFFAWA comprises eleven persons who all live in the same district in Benin. The group's representative, Adjouavi Edith Cyprienne, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 47 years old and married to a man named Didier. The couple have two children, both in school and in their care.

Adjouavi Edith Cyprienne has never attended school. To meet her needs and those of her family, she sells clothing and charcoal on the side, via the distribution system. She gets her supplies from Togo and Benin. This is the fourth time Adjouavi Edith Cyprienne and the other members of the group FIFFAWA have requested a loan from ALIDé. This loan will enable them to bolster their businesses in order to respond better to the demands of their customers.
