Ishenkul's story

Ishenkul is 50 years old, married, and raising six children with her husband. Ishenkul has a secondary education. The family's primary source of income is animal husbandry. Ishenkul started this two 2 years ago when she bought cattle with 8,000 KGS. Thanks to Ishenkul's hard work, she now has three heifers on her farm. She earns a monthly income of 5,000 KGS. In order to further develop her farm, Ishenkul has asked the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 130,000 KGS to buy calves for cattle breeding. Ishenkul plans to use income from loan to increase her number of domestic animals, and is planning on saving money to celebrate her son's wedding.
