A loan of $1,225 helped to buy agricultural supplies and seedlings to plant and care for.

Irma Angelica's story

Irma is 31 years old, married and the mother of two children. They help her with the various activities in the fields such as cleaning, applying fertilizer, fungicides etc. These protect the coffee crops keeping them intact and healthy for harvest.

Irma completed her Primary Education degree into which she put in a lot of effort and had the support of her parents in spite of their modest economic situation. She has a lot of experience in the agricultural activities as her parents taught her to work the land. Along with her husband they have farmed for seven years. The land they grow on is theirs as she inherited it from her parents. It is located 30 minutes distance from their house, which they walk daily. Her goal is to be able to buy another plot of land, where she would grow a different, much more popular type of coffee that she could offer to her clients and generate higher income. This would fortify the family estate for her children.

Today she is requesting a loan to buy agricultural supplies such as 8 bags of fertilizer, 6 liters of foliar sprays, 6 liters of boron and 800 seedlings (young coffee plants) to grow and prepare for a new harvest in the following season.
