A loan of $2,675 helped a member to buy cattle.

Refuges De Dumas Group's story

Cantave is the coordinator of his group, “Refuges de Dumas”. He is married with five children. Cantave lives in the town of Dumas in Haiti, where electricity is rarely available and the water supply extremely limited. He has been managing his business for seven years, and before starting this business he was in school. Cantave would like to use this loan to purchase cattle. He hopes that this loan will help him grow his business. Other members of the Refuges group also need loans for their businesses, which include activities such as selling charcoal, rice and fish. Cantave says that his main challenge is the lack of regular customers. He says that his principal aim is to expand his business and his dream is to buy a truck to transport the animals.
