A loan of $1,100 helped to buy organic manure.

Mirson's story

Mirson, 47, is a single father of a son who is an adult with a family of his own. Mirson lives alone in his own house and works growing regional products like cassava, bananas, tomatoes and coriander, among others. He also has a few head of cattle. He rises very early every day to do his agricultural chores like tilling and fertilizing and extracting fresh milk from his cows. He does all these activities on his farmland located a few kilometers from his house.

He’s been in this business for more than 15 years. He works alone because his son is independent and has land of his own. Occasionally he hires day laborers to help him during the planting and harvesting seasons. He likes his work very much because he’s always out in the fresh air and can manage his time problem-free. Also, he says there’s nothing better than being independent. He hopes to be able to maintain his business since he lives off it and hopes to be able to continue doing so for many more years.

This is his 6th Kiva loan so he’s asking for your collaboration in order to be able to make his plans concrete. He will use the requested 3,000 soles to buy organic manure to nourish his crops.
