Gudo's story

Gudo is a 36-year-old married woman. She is a vigorous lady and has been running a business for many years selling cloths with her husband who is also shown in the picture. Gudo buys cloths of different fabrics in various colors and designs from the market at wholesale rates and then her husband sells them to the people of her community. She has a varied customer base and is able to earn enough through her business. Gudo is requesting a 35,000 PKR loan from the Kashf Foundation to buy a wider variety of cloths in different colors and designs to attract more customers and expand her inventory. Gudo expects a boost in her earnings with her loan and she plans to spend a part of her profits on the betterment of her family members.
