A loan of $2,775 helped buy calves.

Begaiym's story

Begayym is 50 years old, a widow. Since her husband's death, she has been single-handedly raising three children and tending her own farm. Begaiym has a secondary education. Animal husbandry is the family's primary source of income. Begaiym started this business 25 years ago with cattle she bought for 400 KGS. Thanks to her hard work, Begaiym's farm now has two milk cows, one calf, five sheep, two lambs, three goats, and five kids. She earns a monthly income of 10,000 KGS. In order to further develop her farm, Begaiym asked the microfinance bank Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 135,000 KGS to buy calves for cattle breeding. Begaiym plans to use income from the loan to further increase her cattle.
