A loan of $650 helped to purchase a computerized sewing machine.

Zarrina's story

Zarrina is a native of Isfara city. Her husband works abroad. She is a homemaker and lives with her son. Her son is 17 years old and studies at school. Zarrina worked for several years as a Russian language instructor at a medical college. Now she stays at home and sews and embroiders custom curtains. Zarina's mother taught her this trade. In their family, all of the girls were expert homemakers - they all were expected to know how to sew, cook, clean and manage all of the household tasks. Zarrina's mother raised her well. Four years ago, when Zarrina stopped working and became a homemaker, she was not sad about it because she knew what she would do to support herself. And, believe me, there has not been a day when she has felt sorry for herself. She had no idea that sewing curtains and thinking up different patterns for them would give her such satisfaction.

Zarrina is requesting a loan to purchase a computerized sewing machine. With the assistance of the received credit, she will be able to replace her old machine for a new, computerized sewing machine. She won't have to repair this machine all the time and she will be able to sew without technical malfunctions.
