Salomat has been a school teacher in Isfara for 24 years. She spends her entire day at the school. In the evenings, she helps her husband and sons. They have a family business selling meat kabobs and sambusa — a Tajik meat pasty. They've had a small stall for 11 years. Salomat likes her work, largely because she gets to be with her husband and children. She and her husband have three sons. Their middle son works abroad in Russia. He never forgets his parents and always stays in touch with them. The purpose of their loan is to maintain their business and purchase new cooking equipment for their stall. Salomat and her family plan on bringing in more high quality food items from the city and drawing new customers.
