A loan of $1,600 helped a member to buy clothes from South Africa and Zambia, to supply to the working class in and around town.

Faith Club Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 45-year-old Susan from Mutare. Susan is a member of Faith Club Group. She is widowed, with two children, one of whom is attending school. She also cares for one dependent.

Susan runs a retail business, selling ladies' suits, kidswear, and footwear. The business has been in operation for ten years. She says the main challenge faced is high import duty at border posts.

Susan has requested a loan of USD 400 to purchase more clothes for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's general welfare.

In the future, Susan plans to have ownership of her own boutique shop.
