Musafiri is the assistant president of the borrowing group Zamiri. She is the mother of 5 children, all of whom attend school. She is 35 years old and a seller of used clothing at the public market. She has been in this business for 4 years. She began her business with her own funds received from her husband. Thanks to this business, she has been able to complete several projects for the benefit of her family and to further develop her business.

This new loan will allow her to purchase 6 bags of used clothing. In addition, she hopes to support her younger brothers' education, that of her own children, and an attractive home. In closing, she thanks the Hekima program for their support of self-sufficiency for women not eligible for traditional banking, especially in the current context of the war in the eastern Congo where the economy is in decline.

La cliente Musafiri est une président adjointe de l’association d’affaire « Zamiri » et mère de 5 enfants qui étudient tous. Agée de 35 ans, la cliente est vendeuse de friperie au marché public. Il y a 4 ans qu’elle exerce cette activité. Elle commença son commerce avec son fonds propre reçu de son époux. Grâce à cette entreprise, elle a réalisé plusieurs projets en faveur de sa famille et pour le développement de son entreprise. Ce nouveau prêt lui servira d'acheter 6 ballons de friperie. En plus, elle compte soutenir la scolarité de ses frères cadets, de ses enfants et construire une belle maison. Au finish, elle salut le programme Hekima pour son soutien et autonomisation des femmes non bancables surtout dans le contexte actuel de la guerre à l’Est de la République Démocratique du Congo où l’économie est en décadence.

HEKIMA is a microfinance institution headquartered in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), with branch offices in Goma and Bukavu. HEKIMA aims to contribute to the transformation of the economic, social, and spiritual lives of the economically active poor of the DRC. To this end, HEKIMA provides its clients with solidarity group loans to support income-generating activities. Despite ongoing instability and violence in its operating areas, HEKIMA continues to keep its doors open and provide credit and savings services for its over 90% female clientele.
