A loan of $6,625 helped a member to purchase 6 bags of used clothing.

Zamiri Group's story

Musafiri is the assistant president of the borrowing group Zamiri. She is the mother of 5 children, all of whom attend school. She is 35 years old and a seller of used clothing at the public market. She has been in this business for 4 years. She began her business with her own funds received from her husband. Thanks to this business, she has been able to complete several projects for the benefit of her family and to further develop her business.

This new loan will allow her to purchase 6 bags of used clothing. In addition, she hopes to support her younger brothers' education, that of her own children, and an attractive home. In closing, she thanks the Hekima program for their support of self-sufficiency for women not eligible for traditional banking, especially in the current context of the war in the eastern Congo where the economy is in decline.
